What this means for players
You can play without creating an account with us.
Levels, coins, powers and settings are saved locally. We don’t run servers that collect them.
Ads come from Google AdMob, which may handle device and advertising-related data. The Mac version has no ads.
Coin packs are bought through the App Store. We never see your card details or Apple Account password.
Important disclosure
On iPhone and iPad, Jelly Jar: Squishy Merge shows a banner ad during play, optional rewarded ads you choose to watch, and occasional full-screen ads at natural breaks. It also offers optional coin packs through Apple In-App Purchase on every platform. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is only used if you allow it in Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt.
1. Overview
Jelly Jar: Squishy Merge is a jelly-physics puzzle game for iPhone, iPad and Mac, published on the Apple App Store. In this Privacy Policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the team behind the game (the Merge Fruit Slice team; the same game is published on Google Play as Merge Fruit Slice, which has its own privacy policy).
The game does not require registration and we do not operate a player account system. It relies on Apple for purchases and, on iPhone and iPad, on Google AdMob for ads.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the game, the following categories of information may be handled:
Gameplay data on your device
Progress, stars, coins, powers, discovered characters and settings needed for normal gameplay. It stays on your device.
Advertising-related data (iPhone and iPad)
When ads are requested, Google may process your IP address (approximate location), ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device identifiers. The advertising identifier (IDFA) is only available if you allow tracking.
Purchase-related data
Apple tells the game which coin pack was bought and provides a transaction ID, which the game keeps on your device so each purchase is credited exactly once.
Support information
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and message.
We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, contacts, photos, microphone recordings or precise location.
3. Data Stored on Your Device
The game saves gameplay information in its private storage on your device: progress, coins, powers, settings, a random anonymous player ID created by the app (not linked to your name or Apple Account), and the transaction IDs of coin packs you bought.
This data is used so the game remembers your progress between sessions. We do not run our own cloud-save service, so if you delete the app your progress cannot be recovered by us.
4. Advertising (Google AdMob)
On iPhone and iPad the game displays ads from Google AdMob: a small banner during play, optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch in exchange for in-game rewards, and occasional full-screen ads at natural breaks such as the end of a level. Ads are limited to content suitable for general audiences. The Mac version shows no ads.
Google AdMob may automatically process information such as IP address, ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device identifiers for advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud-prevention purposes.
Before using the advertising identifier, the game shows a short explanation followed by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, ads are still shown but the advertising identifier is not used.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, the game first shows Google’s consent message, where you can choose whether your data may be used for personalized ads. You can change that choice any time in the game under Settings → Privacy Choices.
5. In-App Purchases
The game offers optional coin packs. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store; one purchase history covers iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Apple In-App Purchase
Apple handles payment, authentication and receipts. We do not receive your card details or your Apple Account password.
What the game receives
The product bought and its transaction ID, used only to add the coins to your game and to finish the purchase.
6. Permissions and Device Access
The game uses a minimal set of capabilities:
- Internet access to load ads (iPhone and iPad), show the consent message and talk to the App Store.
- App Store purchase services (StoreKit) to process coin packs.
- Tracking permission (iPhone and iPad) through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, which you can allow or deny.
The game does not request camera, microphone, contacts, photos or location access.
8. Children’s Privacy
The game is made for a general audience. It does not ask anyone, including children, to create an account or enter personal information, and ad requests are limited to content rated for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your Choices
- Allow or deny tracking in Apple’s prompt, and change it later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, change your ad consent in the game under Settings → Privacy Choices.
- Turn sound, music and vibration on or off in the game’s Settings.
- Manage purchases, refunds and purchase history through the App Store.
- Delete the app to remove all game data stored on your device.
- Contact us with any privacy question or request, including access or deletion requests under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.
10. Retention and Deletion
Game data stays on your device until you delete the app. We hold no copy on our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
If you email us, we may keep the correspondence for support and record-keeping. Data processed by Google or Apple is kept and deleted under their own policies.
11. Security
Game data is kept in the app’s private storage, protected by your device’s operating system. Network traffic from the ad and purchase services is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
If the way the game handles information changes, we will update this page and its effective date. The current version is always at:
